Cerner Upgrade – Changes to the ECG Viewer
The biggest change with the new ECG viewer is that acronyms (ex. “/afib” or “/ns”) have been replaced with an auto-complete function that will populate a drop-down list as you type:
On November 11 there will be a feature enabled for all PowerChart Touch users. This new feature works to make the schedule in PowerChart Touch work like the ambulatory organizer.
Impact - Users will have to have the schedule that they are trying view as an available resource on the ambulatory organizer.
Providers using PC Touch need to go to a PC and open Powerchart. Navigate to the ambulatory organizer and select the providers schedules that they want to view in PowerChart Touch.
ALL stress tests are now powerplans instead of caresets for single orders. The “Why” for this is to ensure the correct type of imaging order is placed.
Search for “stress” within the orders window or navigate to the Stress Folder
There is also a folder called “Stress Tests”
When you select the plan, the imaging/type options for stress are available. If you do not choose an order, by clicking in the square, you are NOT placing any order. Complete the needed fields as indicated by the blue circle with the X. This means you need some additional information on the order
Complete the required fields, and sign the plan
If no order is selected, you will receive this message. You will need to click “Cancel” and go back and chose the test you want to be completed on the patient
You cannot order from this screen; you must click cancel and order from the powerplan
All Public Phrases built for procedures have been renamed to start with ( ;proc ). Going forward this will be the standard naming convention for any procedure auto-text created for the public.
The ICU family conference note has been renamed to display as: ( ;ICU_family_conference_note )
