Two new PowerPlans have been created for Gastric Tubes. These plans have everything you need to insert and manage your gastric tubes.
Each plan has 3 phases.
The first contains the order to insert the gastric tube. You will not have to initiate this phase.
After the tube has been inserted, the nurse will initiate the second phase which contains the order for confirmation xray as well as any care you chose when you placed the plan.
Once the xray has been read, the nurse will initiate the cleared for use phase.
When a gastric tube is discontinued, you should right click on the plan and discontinue it. This will keep the orders profile clean and save steps in discontinuing several orders.
