Wednesday, June 6th a required indication field will be added to enoxaparin orders. This will assist Pharmacy during the verification process to understand the medication intent and will display in the MAR for Nursing during administration.

Albumin Indications
Albumin now has a required Albumin Indications field at order entry in PowerChart. None of the choices prevent it being ordered. This is only being used to track its use.
Tamiflu Dosing Reminder
Per manufacturer and pharmacy recommendations, Tamiflu should be adjusted for renal impairment.
Flu Season is upon us and with so many providers prescribing Tamiflu, it is important to remember that this drug needs to be renally dosed.
(there has been a large influx of Dose Range Checking Alerts on patients with poor renal function)
