New Infectious Disease Smart Template for PowerNotes

If you are ever interested in including Infectious Disease screenings into your powernotes, here is some information of what it is...and how it's done.  Enjoy!

When your Auto Populate box pops open, upon opening a new PowerNote, make sure you select the new Infectious Disease Screening option (check the box).  If any information by the nursing staff has been documented, it can now pull that data into your notes.  If you no longer wish to pull the ID data, simply uncheck this box the next time you open it.  It is as easy as that!

Impression & Plan to be Included in the Patient Summary

Starting Tuesday, September 2nd, prior to the start of morning clinics, the Impression and Plan section of the PowerNotes will be included in the patient summary (depart summary).  The Patient Summary is the printed handout (or via patient portal) that is being given to the patient upon leaving a clinic visit.

Anything entered in the Impression and Plan section of the providers note will now be included in the Patient Summary if the note is signed at the time the summary is generated. Every field in the Impression and Plan that has information entered will pull into the summary.  If a provider’s note is saved but not signed the Impression and Plan will not be included.

Adult Discharge PowerPlan

Due to the 'Follow Up' area being commonly missed, we have moved the section higher up in the plan.  As of February 25th, 'Follow Up' was placed above the 'Line, Drain, and Wound Care' section.  Please make sure to order follow-up appointments for your patients, only one follow-up per order, and include the name of the provider and when they need the appointment by.  This lessens the confusion for the HUCs who are making these appointments on your behalf.
